Now lets simplify the fractions,
$\frac{1}{8}cannotbesimplifiedfurther.$
$\frac{4}{8}=\frac{1\times 4}{2\times 4}=\frac{1}{2}$

$\frac{6}{8}=\frac{3\times 2}{4\times 2}=\frac{3}{4}$

(b)
$\frac{1}{6}\times 12.85=\frac{12.85}{6}$
Lets divide 12.85 using 6.





So each part will be of 2.14 m in length.
