Solution

The correct option is A 473.9
Limiting value of depth of neutral axis
= 0.48d
= 0.48 × 330
xumax=158.4 mm

Moment of resistance,
M=0.36fckbxu(d0.42xu)
Limiting value of moment of resistance when
xu=xumax
Mu lim=0.36fck.bxu max(d0.42xumax)
=0.36×20×150×158.4(3300.42×158.4)
=45.07×106 N-mm
= 45.07 kN-m
Mu lim=45.07×106
=0.87×415Ast(3300.42×158.4)
Ast=473.79 mm2
