$\therefore$Favorable outcomes(total no. of even numbers) = 3
$\text{Probability P(E)}$ = $\frac{\text{Number of outcomes favorable to E}}{\text{Number of all possible outcomes of the experiment}}$

Let $E$ be the event of getting an even number $=\frac{3}{6}=\frac{1}{2}$
Event F, (Probability of not getting an even number) is the complement event of E.(Sum of probabilites of two complements events is always $1$.)

$\therefore$ P(F) or P(complement event of E) $=1-\frac{1}{2}=\frac{1}{2}$
