Solution

Find the total number of soap cakes:

Given:

Number of soap cakes produced per day =6,955

Number of holidays in 2005=81

As 2005 was not a leap year, there were 365days in the year.

Total number of cakes produced in 2005

= total number of working days × number of soap cakes produced per day

= (365-81)×6,955

= 284×6,955

= 19,75,220

Hence, the total number of cakes produced in2005 were 19,75,220.
