Wavelength of lamp from planet, λp=2886

Speed of light, C=3×108m/s

Step 2: Find the speed of the planet

By, doppler effect of light, the speed of planet is given by

VrelC=λλ

Where,

Relative velocity =Vrel

Change in wavelength =λ=λp-λ

Vrel=λλ×CVrel=λp-λλ×CVrel=62880×3×108Vrel=6.25×105m/s
