Powder tin is of the shape of a cuboid.

Volume of a cuboid $=l\times b\times h$.

Hence, volume of the powder tin $=7\times 7\times 12=588{cm}^3$

Hence, powder tin has more capacity by $(588-462)=126{cm}^3$
