From A to B,
X-axis gives heat absorbed, Q=1000 J
Y-axis gives temperature change,
ΔT=800
ΔT=80 K

We know if a substance is heated without changing its phase then heat supplied is given by:
Q=mcΔT
1000=m×500×80
m=0.025 kg=25 g
