Thus, volume of the body at 50C is V1=V(1+γsΔT)
V1=V(1+0.3×105×50)=1.00015 V
Density of liquid at 50C is ρ1=ρ(1γlΔT)
ρ1=ρ(18×105×50)=0.996 ρ

Thus, by Archimedes principle, mg=ρ1V1g
Or mg=(0.996ρ)g(1.00015V)m=0.99615ρV

AT 0C, let the volume of solid immersed be V2.
Thus, ρgV2=mg (by Archimedes principle)
Or ρgV2=0.99615ρVg
V2=0.99615V
Hence, 99.6% of the solid is immersed in the liquid.
