Solution

The correct option is B 4.5 g

Case I: (at 60C)

Wt. % of solute at 60C

w1%=20

Weight of solute =x=?

Weight of solution = 45 g

% by weight =Weight of soluteWeight of solution×100

x=20×45100=9g

Case II: (at 30C)

Wt.% of solute at 30C

=w2% =10

Weight of solute =y=?

Weight of solution =45g

% by weight =Weight of soluteWeight of solution×100

y=10×45100=4.5g

Mass of solute deposited = 9 - 4.5 = 4.5 g

Hence, option (A) is the correct answer.
