Mass of sugar=40 g

Mass of water=100 g

Mass of the solution= Mass of sugar + Mass of water

=40g + 100g

=140gm

Concentration %= Mass of solute/mass of solution X 100

= 40/140 X 100

= 200/7

=28.57%
