Solution

The correct option is D 0.05
A solution of Ni(NO3)2 is electrolysed between platinum electrodes using 0.1 F electricity. It means that 0.1 equivalent of Ni2+ will be discharged.
Electrolysis of Ni(NO3)2 gives:
Ni2+ + 2e Ni
(Atomic mass of Ni=58.7)
Number of equivalents = Number of moles × number of electrons.
0.1 = Number of moles ×2
= Number of moles of Ni=0.12=0.05
