Let f be the freqency of the tuning fork.
The frequency of sound source for which 2 beats per second have been observed are,
f1=466 Hz & f2=470 Hz
Therefore,
|ff1|=2
f466=±2
f=468 Hz or 464 Hz
Similarly,
|ff2|=2
f470=±2
f=472 Hz or 468 Hz
Since the same tuning fork has been used each time, hence on comparing f we get:
f=468 Hz
