Coefficient of apparent expansion of liquid is given by,
$α_{L} = \frac{Δ L}{L Δ T}$ ....(i)
where,
$L = 510 g m s$ ,
$Δ L = 10 g m s$ ,
$Δ T = 100^{o} - 0^{o} = 100^{o}$
putting the given values in equation 1 we get,
$α_{L} = \frac{10 g}{510 g \times 100^{o} C}$

$∴ α_{L} = 20 \times 10^{- 5} /^{o} C$
