Solution

Volume of the sphere = 4/3 πr3

Volume of the cylinder = πr2 h

Let ,

Increase in level of the water = h

Volume of the increase water in the shape of cylinder = Volume of the sphere

πr2 h = 4/3 πr3

22/7 X 8 X 8 X h = 4/3 X 22/7 X 6 X 6 X 6

h = 4/3 X 6/8 X 6/8 X 6

h = 9/2

h = 4.5

The increase in level of the water , h = 4.5 ANS
