Initial angular momentum about O is,

Li=MV(RR8)

Li=7MVR8

After collision with O,

Lf=Iω

I=(25MR2+MR2)=75MR2

Lf=75MR2ω

Applying angular momentum conservation,

Li=Lf

ω=7V8×57R
