The process of charging an uncharged body by rubbing it with another suitable body is called electrification by friction .
Therefore, when a body P of positive charge is rubbed against a body Q, the two bodies will attract if the body Q is negatively charged. Also, when a body P of positive charge is rubbed with an uncharged body Q, the body Q acquires a charge opposite to the charge of the body P. That is, negative and they attract each other as unlike charges attract.
