Step 2: Formula used
We know that;
$A v e r a g e v e l o c i t y = \frac{T o t a l d i s p l a c e m e n t c o v e r e d}{T o t a l t i m e t a k e n}$
Step 3: Finding average velocity
$A v e r a g e v e l o c i t y = \frac{100}{10} = 10 m / s e c$ .
Hence, the average velocity of a sprinter is 10 m/s.
