Given:

hs=200mm,u2=0.5m/s,

g=9.8m/s2;d2=20mm

u3=?

u2=2ghc

0.5=2×9.81×hc

hc=0.01274m

ht=hs+hc=0.200+0.01274

= 0.2127 m

u3=2ght=2×9.81×0.2127

u3=2.043m/s
