Open in App
Solution

Perimeter of square =4a

It is given that perimeter of square =88cm

4a=88cm

a=22cm

Perimeter of circle =2πr

It is given that perimeter of circle =88cm

2πr=88

2×227×r=88

r=88×744

r=2×7

r=14cm

Area of circle=πr2

=227×14×14

=22×2×14

=616cm2

Area of square =22×22

=484cm2

Hence the area of circle is larger
