Given, length of wire used = 44 cm = circumference of the circle

Let r be the radius of the circle.

$\Rightarrow$ 2$\pi$r = 2$\times \frac{22}{7}\times$r = 44 cm

$\therefore$ Area of the circle formed

= $\pi r^2$ = $\frac{22}{7}\times 7\times 7=154c{m}^2$
