Solution

Dear Student
Total Pressure on the plate
P=Atmospheric pressure + pressure due to waterP=1.013×105 + ρgh=1.013×105 +1000×10×1.2P=1.013×105 +0.12×105 = 1.133×105 Thurst F = P×Area= 1.133×105 ×16 =18.128 ×105
