We know that,
1 m = 100 cm
When the paper is folded twice as shown the resulting square will have half the length of the orginal length of the square.
Therefore, the length of the resulting square
= half of length of the orginal square
= half of 1-meter
= half of 100 cm
= 100 ÷ 2
= 50 cm
