Let B join after x months.

$\therefore 21000\times 12=36000\times (12-x)$

$\Rightarrow 252000=36000\times 12-36000x$

$\Rightarrow 36000x=432000-252000$

$\Rightarrow 36000x=180000$

$\Rightarrow 36x=180$

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{180}{35}=5$

Hence B joined after 5 months.
