Open in App
Solution

The amount at which the stationer sells the pen is the price the customer buys it for.
Given, for the stationer
C.P. of 5 pens =Rs28
C.P. of 1 pen =Rs5.6
Profit =25 %
So, Profit % =S.P.C.P.C.P.×100=25
=>S.P.5.65.6×100=25
=>S.P.5.6=1.4
=>S.P.=Rs7
customer buys each pen for =Rs7
therefore cost for 3 pens =7×3=Rs21
