Given, length of the box = 2 m
Breadth of the box = 3 m
Height of the box = 0.5 m

We know that, total surface area of cuboid shaped box
= 2 (lb + bh + lh)
= 2 (2 x 3 + 3 x 0.5 + 0.5 x 2)
= 2 (6 + 1.5 + 1)
= 2 x 8.5
= 17 $m^2$

Plating each sq. metre cost Rs. 100 (Given)

So, total cost = Rs.100 $\times$ 17 = Rs. 1700
