Given,
$l = 3 m, b = 2 m and h = 0.5 m$

Total surface area of cuboid shaped box
$= 2 (l b + b h + l h)$
$= 2 (3 \times 2 + 2 \times 0.5 + 3 \times 0.5)$

Each sq. metre of gold plating costs ₹100.

$= ₹ 100 \times 17$
