Given:
l=0.5 m
i=1.2 A
B=2 T
The magnetic force on wire is given by
F=i(l×B)
F=ilBsinθ
Where θ= Angle between l and B
According to question , θ=90
As sin90=1
F=1.2×0.5×2
F=1.2 N
Hence, option (B) is correct option.
