Solution

When zinc plate is dipped copper sulphate solution, zinc sulphate is formed and copper is deposited on zinc strip.
Zn(s)+CuSO4(aq)ZnSO4(aq)+Cu(s)
(Silver whitish) (Blue) (colourless) (Reddish brown)
This reaction shows that zinc is more reactive than copper as it displaces copper from its solution and zinc passes into solution as zinc ions and zinc sulphate solution is formed.
