The latent heat of fusion or melting of solid is the quantity of heat in joules required to convert 1 kg of solid to liquid without any change in temperature.

Explanation for correct option

Initially when heat is provided temperature of the content of beaker does not rise suddenly it will rise after some time, because of latent heat of fusion. When all ice melts and, the temperature of content starts rising.
