Solution

The correct option is D 4241
Quisqualis belongs to family Combretaceae and has opposite phyllotaxy which means two leaves are present at each node. Therefore, 31 Quisqualis plants, each with 36 nodes have 31 × 36 × 2= 2232 leaves. Hibiscus plant has alternate phyllotaxy which means one leaf is present at each node. Therefore, 15 Hibiscus plants with 21 nodes will have total = 15 × 21= 315 leaves. Calotropis exhibit opposite phyllotaxy which means two leaves are present at each node. Therefore, 77 Calotropis plants each with 11 nodes will have 77 × 11 × 2= 1694 leaves. This makes total 2232 +315 + 1694= 4241 leaves.
Therefore, the correct answer is option D.
