If the light rays are not focused properly then the image may be a blurred one, in order to get the image correctly the he should move the lens either towards or away from the screen depending upon the position of the object.

The idea here is that the rays should meet, they should converge, image will be formed.

For instance, object is placed at focus, rays after passing through convex lens, gets parallel to principal axis. will image be formed? No!
