A student reported the radii of Cu,Cu+ and Cu2+ as 96pm,122pm and 72pm respectively. Do you agree with th reported value? Justify your answer.

The measurement is made wrongly.More the positive charge more will be the nuclear attraction and outermost electron is more attracted towards the nucleus and the distance(atomic radius) is less.So Cu2+<Cu+<Cu.But the measurement shows that Cu+>Cu>Cu2+
