Question

A student took an overflow can and filled it with water up to the brim. He then placed an iron bob of volume 15 ml and mass 65 g in it. and collected water in a measuring cylinder. Determine the volume of water collected in the measuring cylinder?

Volume of the water displaced must be equal to the volume of the object immersed in it, therefore volume of water is 15ml.
