Let the original sum be Rs. x.
Sum of the ratios
= 3 + 5 + 9 + 13 = 30
$\therefore$ C's share $=Rs.\frac{9x}{30}=Rs.\frac{3x}{10}{A}^{\prime }sshare=Rs.\frac{3x}{30}=Rs.\frac{x}{10}$
According to the question,
$\frac{3x}{10}-\frac{x}{10}=2412\Rightarrow \frac{2x}{10}=2412\Rightarrow x=2412\times 5=Rs.12060$
$\therefore$ Amount received by B and D together
$=Rs.(\frac{(5+13)}{30}\times 12060)=Rs.7236$
