Solution

The correct option is C Rs. 9000, Rs. 9750
Let sum left for the 12 years old and 14 years old sons be Rs. x and Rs. (18750x) respectively.
Then, x×6×5100+x=(18750x)×4×5100+(18750x)
30x100+x=375020x100+18750x
50x100+2x=22500
250x100=22500
x= Rs. 22500×100250= Rs. 9000
The sum allotted to the other son is Rs. 9750.
