A survey was made to find the type of music that a certain group of young people liked in a city. Adjoining pie chart shows the findings of this survey. From this pie chart answer the following:
(i) If 20 people liked classical music, how many young people were surveyed?
(ii) If a cassette company were to make 1000 CD’s, how many of each type would they make?

(i) According to the question, 10% represents 20 people.
Therefore total number of people surveyed will be represented by 100%, and
100% represents => 100×2010=200 people.
Hence, 200 People were surveyed.

(ii) CD’s of classical music is 10% of 1000 which equals 10×1000100=100 CD's

CD’s of semi-classical music is 20% of 1000 which equals 20×1000100=200 CD's

CD’s of light music is 40% of 1000 which equals 40×1000100=400 CD's

CD’s of folk music is 30% of 1000 which equals 30×1000100=300 CD's
