A suspension is a heterogeneous mixture.
True
Heterogeneous mixtures are the ones where the components are not uniformly distributed. We are often able to visually distinguish the different components.
Suspensions are mixtures where a component does not dissolve but remains suspended around in another component. For example, if you put sand in water and try to mix them, the sand doesn't dissolve. It remains floating around in the water and even settles after a while. This is what we call a suspension.
So is a sand in water mixture uniform? Nope. We can clearly see the sand floating around and even pick it out.
