A swarm of 62 bees flies in a garden. If 3 bees land on each flower, 8 bees are left with no flowers. Find the number of flowers in the garden.

Let the number of flowers be x.
Number of bees on flowers =3x
Total number of bees =62
Therefore,
3x+8=62
3x=54
x=18
Hence, there are 18 flowers in the garden.
