A sweet shopkeeper prepares 396 gulab jamuns and 342 rasagula.He packs them in containers.Each container consists of either gulab jamuns or rasagulas but have equal no.of pieces.Find the no.of pieces she should put in each box so that the no.of boxes are least.

Number of gulabjamuns = 396

Number of rasgullas = 342
Here we will find the HCF of 396 & 342.
The prime factorisation of 396 and 342 are:−
396 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 11
342 = 2 × 3 × 3 × 19
HCF (396, 342) = 2 × 3 × 3 = 18
So, sweet shopkeeper will put 18 sweets in each box such that number of boxes required are least.
