The correct option is B $y = 1.44 x$
Let $" z "$ be the purcehase price of the t-shirt for the wholesaler.
$z = x + \frac{20}{100} x = x + 0.2 x = 1.2 x$
The selling price of the t-shirt for the wholesaler is $" y "$
$y = z + \frac{20}{100} z = z + 0.2 z = 1.2 z = 1.2 \times 1.2 x$
$y = 1.44 x$
