At loss of $15$ % cost $= 6800$
$\frac{85}{100} \times x = 6800$
Cost price $= \frac{6800 \times 100}{85} = 80 \times 100$
$= 8000$
For getting $12$ % gain selling price
$= 8000 + \frac{12}{100} \times 8000$
$= (1 + \frac{3}{25}) 8000$
$= \frac{28}{25} \times 8000$
New selling price $= 28 \times 320 = 8960$ Rs.
