Area of sheet $=$ Surface area of the tank
$\Rightarrow$ Length of the sheet $\times$ its width $=$ Area of 4 walls of the tank + Area of its base
$\Rightarrow$ Length of the sheet $\times$ 2.5m $= 2 (20 + 12) \times 8 m^{2} + 20 \times 12 m^{2}$
$\Rightarrow$ Length of the sheet $= 300.8$ m
