Question

A tank can hold up to 100 L of water. If the tank is already three quarters filled, how much more water is needed to completely fill it?

Open in App
Solution

Capacity of the tank = 100 L
Volume of water inside = Three quarters of 100 L
On quarter of 100 L = 25 L
So, three quarters of 100 L = 25 × 3
= 75 L
Amount of water needed to fill the tank
= 100 L - 75 L = 25 L
