Let h be the depth of the water.

Here,

breadth of the tank, b=1.8 m

volume of the tank = 9000 litres = $9000\times \frac{1}{1000}{m}^3$

$\Rightarrow l\times b\times h=9m^3$

$\Rightarrow 2.5\times 1.8\times h=9$

$\Rightarrow h=\frac{9}{2.5\times 1.8}$

$\Rightarrow h=2m$
