Diameter of cylinder=15m
Radius of cylinder=152=7.5m
Height h1=2.4m
Height of cone, h2=4m
Capacity of cone=πr2h1+13πr2h2
=πr2(h1+h23)
=227×(7.5)2(2.4+43)
=46207=660m2
Slant height of cone=r2+h22=(7.5)2+(4)2=8.5m
CSA of cone=πrl=227×7.5×8.5
=200.35m2
CSA of cylindrical part=2πrh=2×227×7.5×2.4
=113.14m2
Total CSA of tent=200.35+113.14=313.49m2
Therefore cost of canvas=313.49×50=Rs. 15674.5
