The given pyramid contains 6 lateral faces.

Each face is a triangle.

Lateral surface area = 6 × Area of triangular face

= 6 × 12 × base × height



Area of one trianglular face = 12 × base × height

Base of the triangle = 25 in

Height of the triangle = 60 in

Area of a triangle = 12 × 25 × 60

= 750 sq in



Area of 6 triangles = 6 × 750

= 4500 sq in

Hence, the lateral surface area of the tent = 4500 sq in
