Solution

Thief is running on the train with 12km/hr so his speed will be 72km/hr.we have to add the speed ofthe train and the running speed of thief on the triain to calculate the total speed of the thief.

Speed of thief = 12 + 60 km/hr = 72 km/hr
speed of police = 80 km/hr
speed of thief w.r.t police = 72-80 km/hr
= -8km/hr
