The correct option is A
1.0048 cm2
Given,
Side length of square sheet of aluminium = 1 cm
Area of aluminium sheet A0= 1 cm2
βaluminium= 2αaluminium =48×106 K1
ΔT =120°C 20°C =100°C or 100 K
Change in the area of aluminium sheet ΔA = A0βΔT = (1 cm2) ×(48 ×106 K1)×(100 K) = 0.0048 cm2
Final area = initial area (A0) + increase in area(ΔA) =1 cm2 +0.0048 cm2 =1.0048 cm2
Thus the final area of aluminium sheet is 1.0048 cm2
