Solution

Let the total capacity of oil tin = x litresAmount of oil in the tin = 4x5 litresLet the capacity of 1 bottle = y litrescapacity of 6 bottles = 6y litrescapacity of 4 bottles = 4y litresNow, according to question :4x5 - 6y + 4y = 3x44x5 - 2y = 3x42y = 4x5 - 3x42y = 16x - 15x20y = x40So, capacitiy of 1 bottle = x40 litresNumber of bottles of oil that tin can contain = capacity of tincapacity of 1 bottle = xx/40 = 40
