Let the height of the tower is xmhigh and casts a shadow of length100m , at the same time when a 12m high pole casts a shadow of length16m.

Now, x:12::100:16

Product of extremes =product of means

x×16=12×100

x=12×10016=120016=75m

Hence, the height of the tower is 75m.
